Eagle Rock Lofts

Eagle Rock Lofts is a ROOT Development project located on Colorado Boulevard in the Eagle Rock neighborhood of northeastern Los Angeles. The project offers two ground floor, street-oriented commercial spaces (1,935 sq. ft. total), and 10 residential condominium units (approx. 1,300 sq. ft. each). In keeping with ROOT Development's mission, the project addresses a need within the neighborhood while enhancing the existing community character. Specifically, the Lofts' design engages the lively pedestrian thoroughfare on Colorado Boulevard while also providing new residential and retail product to the neighborhood. Adam Wheeler of Los Angeles based AdamWheelerDesign has ensured that the architecture complements the neighborhood while also incorporating contemporary elements that align with Eagle Rock's reputation as a forward-thinking community.

Night Spot 15 Twenty

Created by retailer Urban Outfitters, Space 15 Twenty offers an extremely hip and inviting shopping experience for the Hollywood consumer. The project is an environmentally friendly reuse of existing warehouse spaces and alleyway, and provides unique retail and dining experiences to its clientele. Drawing off the vernacular architecture, Space 15 Twenty connects two major streets with a pedestrian passageway and highlights the 1920s bow truss ceilings and red brick elements. Root Development provided Space 15 Twenty with various consulting services, including liquor license application, signage design and application, community relations, and other day-to-day consulting as necessary. Project opened November 2008.
